Rock Empire is sewing and selling masks with filters made from nano-fibers
Production of Rock Empire 100% Cotton Masks. 1-time Use Filters (made from nano-fibers) are also available.
Rock Empire has started production of textile masks designed to include a filter. We now also have available insertable 1-time use filters made from nano fibers from Czech firm NANOTEX Group s.r.o., which are sold separately.
Masks are made from 100% cotton and are made in a straight rectangle shape with textile folds (19.5x9cm before expansion). They are designed for inserting filters with dimensions of 12.5x15cm. Two elastic bands fit comfortably over the head and neck to keep the mask in place. We have been wearing them ourselves and can confirm that they fit well on both women and men and can be suitable for children.
The color and print of the 100% cotton material used in the masks may vary; we cannot offer any special prints or colors at this time.
The NANOTEX Group filters consist of three layers, and the middle layer consists of nano-fibers based on a PVDF polymer. The filter captures up to 90% of all microorganisms. The filter is intended for one use only, and should be replaced as necessary. The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter once it is wet (typically after 8 hours, but this can vary depending on your situation).
The Declaration of Conformity and test report for the filters can be found below.
Beginning 1.4.2020, masks are packed in bags of 8 pcs. Filters are packaged separately, also in packs of 8 pcs.
If you are interested in this offer, please send your inquiry to info@rockempire.cz or to your Rock Empire sales manager contact. We will contact you immediately to arrange delivery.
HOW TO CARE FOR TEXTILE MASKS:
• The easiest way to sterilize the mask is by placing it in boiling water. Allow the mask to boil for at least 5 minutes and dry. Masks can also be washed separately in the washing machine, preferably at 90 degrees.
• Masks then still need to be ironed, ideally with steam. If you do not have a steam iron, then iron on the highest setting for at least 5 minutes.
• Disinfect your hands before handling the mask
WHEN TO REPLACE THE FILTER?
Never put an already used filter into a sterilized mask. Filters are 1-use only; replace after eight hours of use (maximum use = 8 hours, may need to be replaced more frequently depending on your situation).
HOW TO INSERT FILTER INTO THE MASK?
The filter is easy to insert into the cotton mask. The back of the mask has a rectangular opening into which the filter should be placed. Carefully align it in the opening so that it covers as large a surface as possible inside the mask.
We hope you are staying healthy! Your Rock Empire team
