Single-rope technique
The rope access technique is primarily intended for rescue procedures. It is suitable for work activities only in very rare cases, when risk analysis shows that single-rope technique is the safest possible solution for the work activity. It places the highest demands not only on professional expertise, but also on attention to detail in its implementation.
Workers using this technique should have mastered all general skills and knowledge to safely perform work at heights and above free depths. In addition, they should complete a detailed risk analysis and be responsible for management of the work team, for organization of a possible rescue team with knowledge of advanced rescue and evacuation techniques. Also, they need detailed knowledge of related required national or federal legislation, and extended first aid training.
